My story
Over 10 years ago, I made every mistake you did AND MORE.
I bought fake followers, I blew thousands of dollars on ads that went nowhere and I overpaid “influencers” that got me nothing in exchange but hundreds of negative comments.
Instead of trying to figure it out all myself or go back to school for 4 years, only to have the information become obsolete by the time I’m ready to use it, I started chatting with any industry people that I knew who were doing what I wanted to do… SUCCESSFULLY.
I realized that my biggest problem was not my lack of talent, value or worth but simply the way I was THINKING about it.
Once I learned the mindset and the formula, I quickly began to see success on Twitter, which also worked on Instagram and then I repeated the recipe AGAIN on TikTok!
My Story
In school, I was never really “popular”.
To be honest, most people thought I was annoying. LOL
It wasn’t until I went to high school that things started to turn around for me. I went to a school of the arts for performance arts (drama) and in my first class I realized that everyone in my class was also… ANNOYING! But in the BEST way! In that moment, I realized that I had found MY PEOPLE!
After I left high school and went off to university and the workplace, the problem came back and I was back to feeling alone, weird and like my voice didn’t matter.
The moment that I started using social media PROPERLY, that feeling of community returned.
I was making friends, I was making money and it was making me happy. It was such a healing experience to have thousands of people, celebrating me for being my authentic self. But the TRUE healing started when I decided to start sharing that experience with other people.
I’ve spoken to thousands of people on phone calls, in workshops and after speaking events and although each person is unique, human psychology as a whole remains incredibly consistent.
I’ve spent a lot of time studying psychology. My family has had a history of mental illness and addiction, which lead me to become obsessed with figuring out WHY people make the choices they make.
Over the years, I’ve been documenting these patterns and started to build simple frameworks that would allow me to explain these concepts to others and save them 10+ years of trial and error.
I call these frameworks: The Simple Social System.
